What you'll learn

In this course, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of domestic abuse within the context of an educational setting. You will learn to define domestic abuse, explore its various categories, and understand the causes behind it. The course will examine the different types of trauma experienced by children, young people, and adults as a result of abuse, and highlight how behaviour can be a form of communication. You will also learn about the impact of domestic abuse, strategies for supporting victims, and ways to reduce the long-term effects of trauma.
